Protein First
Eggs, chicken, turkey, fish, Greek yogurt, beans, lentils, and protein-forward soups and stews help support strength, recovery, and healthy aging.
Harvest Sisters Comfort Kitchen provides thoughtfully prepared meals for older adults, private clients, families, caregivers, and care settings. Menus can be adapted around preferences, allergies, texture needs, sensory needs, and approved dietary instructions.
Nanaiya Craft began developing supportive meals in 2011 while helping her mother manage diabetes. She learned that nourishing food could still feel familiar, satisfying, and comforting.
While living in Los Angeles, she built a plant-based cheesecake business and prepared food for small private events. Her understanding of food became even more personal after a diagnosis of ALCL, a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Alongside appropriate medical care, organic nutrient-dense food and carefully chosen plant medicines became an important part of supporting her recovery and rebuilding her strength.
Harvest Sisters Comfort Kitchen grew from those experiences: real people, real health challenges, and years of learning how to make wholesome food something a person can comfortably eat and genuinely enjoy.
Food and wellness services support nourishment and quality of life and do not replace individualized medical treatment.
Menus combine whole ingredients with thoughtful preparation, familiar flavor, and the texture and portion a client can manage.
Eggs, chicken, turkey, fish, Greek yogurt, beans, lentils, and protein-forward soups and stews help support strength, recovery, and healthy aging.
Cooked vegetables, soft fruit, oats, sweet potatoes, and tolerated grains or legumes support regularity and digestive comfort.
Soups, stews, broths, moist foods, sauce on the side, and easy-to-reheat portions help make meals easier and more appealing.
Organic ingredients are prioritized when practical. Raw foods may add freshness, while gently cooked foods often improve safety, digestibility, and comfort.
The service was shaped by practical successes—not theory alone.
The business began with Nanaiya’s mother and the challenge of creating meals that supported diabetes management without making food feel clinical or restrictive.
For a client experiencing cancer-related swallowing difficulty and weight loss, whole foods were adapted into soft or puréed, protein-forward meals the client could manage more comfortably.
Meals can be adjusted through softer textures, smaller portions, milder seasoning, lower-sugar options, gentle cooking methods, and separated components.
Memberships are billed monthly in advance and fulfilled weekly. Delivery is included within the standard service area.
